Day 01: Arrive Delhi
Arrive Delhi. You are received and welcomed by our representative at the
airport & Transfer to hotel. He will present you the travel documents Rest of the day free for
independent activities.
Day 02: New +Old Delhi Sightseeing
Enjoy full day sightseeing tour of -:
New Delhi: designed and built by the British in the 1920's it's a city of wide boulevards impressive
Government buildings, green parks and gardens. First you will visit two monuments from Delhi's past
Humayun's Tomb and Qutub Minar. Then your drive takes you along the ceremonial avenue, Rajpath, past
the imposing India Gate and Parliament House.
Old Delhi: an ancient walled city. Here you will see Red Fort, the most opulent Fort and Palace
of the Moghul Empire; Raj Ghat, the memorial site of the Mahatma Gandhi; Jama Masjid, the largest
mosque in India and Chandni Chowk, the bustling and colorful market of the old city
Day 03: Delhi to Agra + Sightseeing
Drive to Agra, check in the hotel. In the afternoon reach Agra and check in at your hotel.
Later proceed for the city sightseeing tour visiting The Taj Mahal, which is entirely made of
white marble and its walls are decorated with exquisite pietra dura (precious and semi precious
stone inlay) work. Also visit Agra Fort (also called the Red Fort), which retains the irregular
outline of the demolished mud-wall fort of the Lodis. The Tomb of Itmad-Ud-Daulah’s is located
in a walled garden overlooking the Yamuna.
Day 04: Agra to Bharatpur via Fatehpur Sikri
Drive to Bharatpur en-route visit Fatehpur Sikri - built in Red Sandstone in
honor of Saint Salim Chisti, who foretold the birth of 3 sons to emperor Akbar, an example of robust
stability combined with originality each important edifice here represents a type by itself.
Notable among them is the Diwane Khas, Punch Mahal, The Tomb of Salim Chisti, and the Buland
Darwaza, after visit continue drive to Bharatpur and check into hotel. Afternoon Visit
Keoladeo National Park Once the royal hunting preserve of the princes of Bharatpur, it is one of
the finest bird sanctuaries in the world inundated with over 400 species of water birds. Exotic
migratory birds from Afghanistan, central .Asia, Tibet as well as Siberian cranes from the arctic,
greyleg geese from Siberia and bareheaded geese from China , come here in July/Aug to spend the
winters in warmer climate and they breed till Oct/Nov. Also Visit The Palace This royal edifice
is a fusion of the Mughal and Rajput architectural styles with magnificent apartments and
intricately designed floor tiles having interesting patterns. One can marvel at the ancient
exhibits displayed in the museum in the central part of the palace
Day 05: Bharatpur to Jaipur
Drive to Jaipur check in at Hotel Afternoon sightseeing tour of Jaipur including,
City Palace in the heart of Jaipur known for its blend of Rajput and Mughal architecture.
Not far away is the Central Museum with its large collection of woodwork. Another monument near
the City Palace, Jantar Mantar, is the largest of the five astronomical observatories built by
Sawai Jai Singh-I, the founder ruler of Jaipur. Stop at Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds, a seven
storied facade and one of the most picturesque landmarks constructed for the royal ladies to
watch the royal processions without being seen.
Day 06: Jaipur sightseeing Amber Elephant Ride
Morning excursion to Amber Fort, situated outside the walled city, is perhaps the most beautiful
example of Rajput forts. You can have the unique experience of riding on elephant back to the top
of the hill on which the fort is situated. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Jaipur including, City
Palace in the heart of Jaipur known for its blend of Rajput and Mughal architecture. Not far away
is the Central Museum with its large collection of woodwork. Later in the evening visit to Birla
Temple, speculator marble temple, glitters in the in the night, later at the time of dinner visit
to Chokhi Dhani - an ethnic 5 star resort serving Rajasthani & Continental cuisine with live
music, astrology, games, folk dances and music, puppet shows in an ambiance of an ethnic village.
Return to the hotel for overnight.
Day 07: Jaipur to Mandawa
Drive to Mandawa - situated in Shekhawati region, known as "Open air art gallery of Rajasthan" covering towns such
as - Nawalgarh - Dundlod - Mandawa. The Shekhawati region is famous for its beautiful painted havelis (mansions),
constructed by merchants of this region in 18th and 19th century The area of Shekhawati covers several
villages and towns in north eastern Rajasthan. Small towns dot Sikar and Jhunjhanu districts and
contain within themselves some of the most elaborate havelis, step wells, and temples. When you
travel around this region, you stumble across some truly marvelous treasures. Even today, the
entire region of Shekhawati is known for its exquisite frescoes and popularly called the "open
art gallery". No other region, anywhere in the world, has such large concentration of frescoes.
This is even more interesting as the landscape here is totally bare - flat and colorless.
Day 08: Mandawa to Khimsar
Drive to Khimsar is a small desert town in the heart of Rajasthan, 90 Km away from Jodhpur
on the main Jodhpur-Bikaner highway. Rugged landscape, miles of desert and a majestic fort add to
the rustic charm of Khimsar. The Khimsar Fort is perched on the edge of the Thar Desert and was
built in the16th century by Rao Karamsi. Originally used for military purposes only, the royal
family set up residence within in the 18th century. Today, the fort is partly occupied by Thakur
Onkar Singh, the 17th direct descendant of Rao Karamsi. One section of the fort and palace has
been converted into a premier heritage hotel. The town sits at the junction of Jodhpur and Bikaner
and could be used as a base to explore these destinations.
Day 09: Khimsar to Jaisalmer
Morning drive to Jaisalmer and check-in to hotel. PM Visit to Jain Temple and Ludarva This ancient
capital of Bhatti rulers is an important jain pilgrim centre. The magnificent Jain shrines here,
testifies the glory of the bygone era. The entrance to shrine is marked by ornamental gateway
“Toran”The main temple has a fine silver image of Parasnath, the 23rd Jain thirathkar and is
surrounded by exquisite sculpture. Continue
your drive to Jaisalmer
Day 10: Jaisalmer City Tour + PM Sam Sand Dunes (Camel Ride)
Visiting the Jaisalmer Fort -The oldest living Fort in the world having astonishing Havelis (Mansions)
such as Salim Singh and Patwo ki haveli . In the afternoon, proceed to the Sam or Khuri village to
experince Camel safari on sand dunes. View the sunset from the dunes, as the sky is set on fire.
Return to the village for dinner amidst Desert Folk musicians playing desert symphony and folk dances.
Day 11: Jaisalmer to Jodhpur
Drive to Jodhpur, Check in the hotel. Afternoon sight seeing of Jodhpur. Visit the Mehrangarh Fort
founded in 1459 AD by Rao Jodha (after whom the city is named). The Fort is intricately adorned
with long carved panels and latticed windows of exquisite designs in red sandstone. Also visit
Jaswanth Thada- an imposing white marble cenotaph built to commemorate the acts of bravery and
generosity of the rulers in 19th century
Day 12: Jodhpur to Kumbhal Garh
Morning Drive to Kumbhalgarh visit Haldi Ghati The scene of the famous battle off 1576 AD fought
between Rana Pratap-the heroic son of Udai Singh and the massive forces of the Mughal Emperor
Akbar. A beautiful Chhatri with white marble cloumns, dedicated to Rana Pratap stands here.
Also visit Kumbhalgarh Fort Khumbhalgarh is situated 84 km north of Udaipur, it was the most
important fort in the Mewar region after Chittor fort. Thirteen mountain peaks of the Aravalli
ranges cover it and made safe from enemy, the frightening - Kumbhalgarh stands a wary sentinel
to the past glory. It is an isolated and fascinating place, built by Maharana Khumbha in the
15th centaury, it rising from a prominent ridge, 1914 meters high from the sea level.
The massive fort, encompassed by a 36-km long wall, has seven grand gates and seven ramparts,
one within the other. Rounded bastions and high watchtowers strengthen the crenellated walls of
the fort making it an unassailable structure
Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary
The 586 sq. km. Sanctuary supporting a rich variety of wildlife like the panther, sloth bear,
wild boar, four horned antelope and scientifically bred crocodiles in the lake, are the major
attractions. The sanctuary is also noted for flamingoes, cormorants, spoonbills and egrets
Day 13: Drive Kumbhalgarh to Udaipur via Ranakpur
Drive to Udaipur, en-route visit world famous Jain Temples at Ranakpur.
Admire the workmanship from the 16th century temples. The whole structure has 80
domes and 400 pillars. Continue your drive to Udaipur.
Day 14: Udaipur Sightseeing +Transfer to Airport
Morning sightseeing of Udaipur visiting The City Palace and Museum is considered as the largest
palace complex in Rajasthan. Pratap Memorial has the bronze statue of Maharana Pratap, the
legendary warrior king of Udaipur. Jagdish Temple which was built in 1651 AD. Sahelion Ki
Bari is a small ornamental garden made for maiden princes to play. Late afternoon enjoy boat-
ride on Lake Pichola visiting many Ghats (banks) of washing, bathing etc and enjoy excellent
views of the Lake Palace and City Palace. Evening you will be transferred to airport for your
onward Journey.
