History

Mehrangarh Fort
In 1459 AD Mehrangarh Fort was discovered by Rao Jodha when he relocated the capital.

Government Museum
Placed in the middle of Umaid Public Garden, Government museum encompasses armor, textiles, local arts, miniature paintings as well as crafts.

Mehrangarh Fort

Walk on the ramparts and you will experience the stunning panorama of the city and its blue houses. You may also admire the temple that is crafted from translucent marble, you should see that when sun rays penetrates it.

Jaswant Thada
Jaswant Thada is a beautiful white marble temple erected to the memory of Jaswant Singh II, wrongly dubbed "Little Taj". Inside, there are few portraits of Maharajas. The temple is surrounded by Jaswant Thada cenotaphs of the Maharajas. Below, the pelvis is still used by the royal family for ritual ablutions at the cremations.
